Truck accident: Lilo derails

Yesterday, a train accident in Waizenkirchen ended lightly: a truck driver wanted to turn left in the town of Aschach in the early followingnoon and had to cross the tracks. He may have overlooked the approaching Linz local train (Lilo): it hit the trailer and threw it onto a meadow. The train’s railcar derailed and came to rest upright next to the tracks. The train driver complained of pain, but was able to go to the hospital himself. A replacement rail service has been set up, but how long this will remain open was not yet known yesterday evening.
