L’Estac announced Friday to terminate “with immediate effect” the contract of its president Aymeric Magne, following the conviction of the latter for domestic violence.

The Troyes club has “terminated with immediate effect” the contract of its president Aymeric Magne, announced the Ligue 2 club on Friday August 11, two days following the latter’s conviction on appeal for domestic violence. “Following a meeting of the board of directors today, Estac can confirm that the contract of Mr. Aymeric Magne has been terminated with immediate effect”, wrote the Ligue 2 club on its Twitter account.
The Reims Court of Appeal confirmed on Wednesday August 9, according to France 3 Grand Est, the first instance conviction in March of Aymeric Magne to three months in prison suspended and a fine of 1,500 euros. “Obviously it has an impact” on the termination of his contract, has also entrusted a source familiar with the matter to AFP. The club told AFP that it did not intend to communicate further on this affair.
