Troy: the film with Orlando Bloom, Brad Pitt and Diane Kruger in 4 unusual facts

Tipik offers you a flashback to the year -850 in the heart of Ancient Greece. Trojan Horse atmosphere, betrayals galore, drama and bloody war. The film Troy featuring the international cream of the crop (Orlando Bloom, Brad Pitt or even Diane Kruger to name a few) will be broadcast on Saturday July 2 at 8:05 p.m. on Tipik! Here are 4 unusual facts regarding the film.

Directed by Wolfgang Petersen (The boat, the never-ending story), Troy released in cinemas in 2004. The film is inspired by Greek mythology and above all freely adapted from the story lHomer’s Iliad. What? Homer is neither more nor less the poet at the origin of the first two works of Western literature: l’Illiade and theOdyssey.

The production team of Troy decided to look into the poems that trace the famous Trojan War (between the Greeks and the Trojans). For a long time this conflict has been strewn with mystery and the origin of the wildest fantasies. And Troy was a commercial success (it grossed over 484 million, oh yes anyway), many historians have denounced the cinematic liberties taken with respect to the basic narrative.

Nevertheless, the film pleases the public, it will also be nominated for the Oscars and the MTV Movie Awards.
