Fifth-year outfielder Duggar announced to be demoted to minor league
The Angels announced on the 18th (Japan time 19th) that outfielder Stephen Duggar was demoted to third-A Salt Lake. The outfielder in his fifth major year was just acquired on the 7th (8th). The return of outfielder Mike Trout, who is on the injured list, is imminent, and the US media expected the outfielder to return to the majors on the 19th (20th).
In 79 games this season, Trout has a batting average of 20.7 minutes, 24 homers, and 51 RBIs. He left the battlefield following July 12 and was on the injured list due to inflammation of the left chest, but before the game on the 17th (18th), he said, “I’m just looking forward to playing with my friends. I’m just sitting here. And it’s hard not to be able to play with them,” he said, indicating his intention to return from the Detroit trip.
“The Angels have opened up a spot to register Mike Trout tomorrow,” Angels correspondent Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register tweeted. Other reporters posted similarly. Trout, who has made it clear that he will continue to play center field following his return. We expect him to form a strong combination with designated hitter Ohtani.
