Dutch police arrested three men (aged 28, 33 and 39) on Friday evening who were causing trouble at the Christmas market in the Zeeland village of Koewacht, near the Belgian border. Two of them are Belgian, police said on Saturday.

The three individuals spent a night in prison and were questioned on Saturday.

The police had to go to the square where the market was held on Friday around 10 p.m. to try to calm the three men. The two Belgians did not see it that way and rebelled. Reinforcements had to be called. They were finally arrested, as was their companion who tried to obstruct the work of the police.
