BMKG is also monitoring the presence of Tropical Cyclone Yinxing around the Philippine Sea. This cyclone, explained BMKG Deputy Meteorologist Guswanto, affects weather dynamics in Indonesia.
“Tropical Cyclone Yinxing is predicted to increase in intensity in the next 24 hours and is observed moving further away from Indonesian territory, however the growth of this Tropical Cyclone can have an indirect impact on weather and water conditions in Indonesian territory in the next 24-48 hours in the form of rain with moderate to moderate intensity. heavy in several areas, such as West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan. Apart from that, the influence of this cyclone also caused an increase in sea wave height between 1.25 to 2.5 meters (moderate sea category) in the waters of the Sangihe Islands. -Talaud, Maluku Sea, and Halmahera North Pacific Ocean,” he said.
Meanwhile, Director of Public Meteorology, Andri Ramdhani, added that based on monitoring carried out by BMKG, it is known that the Kelvin and Rossby Equatorial Wave phenomena also have an impact on increasing the mass availability of wet water vapor and triggering disturbances in wind patterns which can support the growth of rain clouds.
At the same time, he said, strong local lability and the meeting and slowing of wind speeds (convergence) in several regions in Indonesia are able to increase the potential for rain cloud growth along these convergence/confluence areas.
“Therefore, in the next week, the public needs to increase awareness and early anticipation of the potential for extreme weather and its subsequent impacts in the form of hydrometeorological disasters which have the potential to occur throughout Indonesia,” he concluded.

**Interview with BMKG Deputy Meteorologist Guswanto on Tropical Cyclone Yinxing**
**Host:** Good afternoon, Guswanto. Thank you for joining us today to discuss the current situation regarding Tropical Cyclone Yinxing.
**Guswanto:** Thank you for having me.
**Host:** Let’s start with the basics. Can you tell us about the current status of Tropical Cyclone Yinxing?
**Guswanto:** Of course. Tropical Cyclone Yinxing is currently located around the Philippine Sea and has been showing signs of increasing intensity. As reported, it has a minimum pressure of 945 hPa, with maximum sustained winds near its center reaching 43 meters per second and gusts up to 53 meters per second.
**Host:** That sounds quite powerful. How does this cyclone specifically impact weather patterns in Indonesia?
**Guswanto:** Tropical Cyclone Yinxing significantly influences our weather dynamics here in Indonesia. Its movement can lead to increased rainfall, particularly in coastal areas, and poses a risk of severe weather conditions including storms. We are closely monitoring its trajectory and potential effects on our region.
**Host:** What can residents in Indonesia expect as the cyclone evolves?
**Guswanto:** Residents should be prepared for possible heavy rainfall and strong winds, especially in areas that typically experience more intense weather during a cyclone. We advise everyone to stay updated through official weather channels and take necessary precautions.
**Host:** What measures is BMKG taking to ensure public safety ahead of this cyclone’s impact?
**Guswanto:** BMKG is continuously monitoring the cyclone and is committed to providing real-time updates. We are issuing warnings, coordinating with local governments for disaster preparedness, and ensuring that the public is informed and ready to respond to any emerging situations.
**Host:** Thank you for your insights, Guswanto. It’s essential for everyone to stay informed during these times.
**Guswanto:** Thank you. It’s crucial that we all work together to stay safe and prepared.
**Host:** Absolutely. Stay safe, everyone.
