The city of Tripoli in northern Lebanon celebrated the victory of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the Turkish presidential elections, as Turkish flags were raised in the city, and Nubian Sufis were presented in the hill square.

Activists on the communication sites transmitted pictures showing the raising of the Lebanese and Turkish flags on the model of the hill clock in Tripoli, coinciding with the re-run of the Turkish presidential elections today, Sunday, in which President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is running with his opponent, the candidate of the opposition coalition, Kemal Kilicdaroglu.

It is known that the model of the hill clock is 30 meters high, and was donated by the Ottoman authorities to the city, 25 years following Sultan Abdul Hamid II came to power.

After the result was announced, drums were beaten and Sufi dancers performed the Mevlevi dance, while car parades roamed the streets of the city.
