Triple H headlined a WWE RAW backstage meeting

Monday morning saw an important change that gave rise to talk within WWE. On its corporate page, the company confirmed that Triple H will be in charge of leading the creative team of television programs and Premium Live Events. Paul Levesque will occupy the position that previously belonged to the already retired Vince McMahon.

Moments before the transmissions of Monday Night RAW, Triple H decided to gather the superstars backstage at Madison Square Garden to discuss their new occupation. The Fightful Select news portal managed to learn several details regarding this conversation, describing it as an encouraging and optimistic instance for all involved.

Triple H recognized the lack of transparency during the leadership of Vince McMahon in the creative department, promising that he will be a much more open leader with the superstars in his charge. On the other hand, he extended the need to create new channels of communication with the talents and occupy several hours a week in order to listen to them and know your concerns. The meeting ended with Triple H promising a “more fun” work environment for everyone.

Vince McMahon officially announced his retirement from WWE on July 22. The news was shocking as it marked the end of a career spanning more than five decades as a promoter, wrestler, commentator, executive and creative. WWE leadership was taken by Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon, with the latter being appointed as president of the board of directors. Paul Levesque also fills the former Executive Vice President of Talent Relations position from John Laurianaitis.
