Suspended yesterday Friday, government, employer and union negotiations continued this Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization (MATD).

According to Minister Mory Condé who chairs the negotiations, the different parties are getting closer to an agreement on increasing workers’ wages, he wrote on his Facebook page.

In addition to the increase in salaries of civil servants, the union movement is calling for the suspension of the control of driving licenses and registration documents.

On the point concerning wages, the government still remains stuck to its latest proposal of 30% while the union now wants an increase of 40%.

For the moment, the debates continue in the MATD meeting room, far from journalists’ microphones and cameras.

It should be remembered that the union movement launched, on November 7, 2023, a strike notice which lasts 10 days.

We will come back to this for the rest of the negotiations.
