BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Michigan, November 25, 2024 – TriMas (NASDAQ: TRS) has proudly unveiled the inauguration of its cutting-edge 225,000 square foot manufacturing plant dedicated to the TriMas Packaging Group in Haining, China. This significant development comes after a strategic decision last year to streamline operations by consolidating two existing manufacturing sites into a single, state-of-the-art facility. As part of this initiative, TriMas has ceased operations at both its Hangzhou and older Haining locations, merging them into a modern facility that boasts advanced manufacturing capabilities designed to better cater to customers throughout China and the broader Asian markets.
The newly automated facility features advanced injection molding techniques and sophisticated assembly capabilities, including the implementation of autonomous robots such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), robotic auto palletizing systems, and a specialized Warehouse Management System (WMS). These cutting-edge innovations significantly enhance material handling efficiency, lower labor costs, minimize safety hazards, and align with the Company’s commitment to sustainability by employing energy-efficient systems and reducing waste. Additionally, this facility includes a state-of-the-art quality laboratory, a clean room rated at 100,000 cleanliness levels, and boasts QS certification, which guarantees adherence to rigorous food safety regulations within China.
The Haining manufacturing plant is strategically focused on producing high-quality dispensing and airless lotion pumps, foaming pumps, as well as a variety of caps and closures, with a primary focus on the beauty and personal care sectors. In response to the escalating demand within the e-commerce sector, the facility also manufactures lotion pumps specifically designed for online retail applications.
