Trial of the Brussels attacks: the Belgian State condemned

The Belgian State, which had appealed against the summary judgment, was unsuccessful. The judgment has just fallen this Monday morning, and Belgium is therefore condemned in the context of the dispute which opposed the defendants including Mohamed Abrini to the Belgian State.

It’s a new monumental slap in the face of the Belgian state“, comments to our colleagues from the DH the lawyer Stanislas Eskenazi who thus takes up one of the sentences of his friend, the late Sébastien Courtoy. “It is a courageous decision, the rule of law has grown from this decision. The defense was therefore not playing the dilatory but was just doing its job and justice once again proved it right”.

The court notes the absence of legal basis for the genuflections imposed during the searches and adds that the fitting of blinding glasses is not justified. In its decision, it orders the police to put an end to the practice of genuflections practiced during the body searches prior to the transfers of the defendants of the trial of the attacks between the prison and the Justitia.
