New Zealand pacer Trent Boult is hopeful that he will play in the ODI World Cup, says the coach. Despite not having a national contract, the player is expected to play in the upcoming World Cup in India, coach Gary Steed said. Bolt withdrew from New Zealand’s national contract last year. The player was also not included in the list of new players given the contract by the board. The World Cup will start in October.

“We are in good talks with Bolt. He has hinted that he will play the World Cup. Boult is one of the best ODI bowlers in the world. If he doesn’t get injured he will be with the team,” said Gary Steed.
