The Trends Center for Research and Consultation launched its participation in the 31st session of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2022, which was launched on Monday with a special pavilion displaying more than 150 diverse research publications that look to the future, analyze current issues, and monitor and refute political Islam movements. The publications of “Trends”, displayed in its booth No. G05 in the tenth hall of the exhibition, range from original books, translated books, and a group of scientific series, including: “Strategic Directions”, “Economic Trends”, “Trends on Political Islam”, and “Paperations”. politics,” and “lecture papers”… and others.
Since the first moments of the opening of the exhibition, in which “Trends” participates as a silver sponsor, many officials, researchers, academics, students and the public flocked to the center’s pavilion, appreciating its knowledgeable efforts. and empowering them with sober and serious research tools.
The pavilion was visited by Her Excellency Sarah Muslim, Minister of State for Early Education, where she was received by Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of Trends, and briefed her on the center and the nature of its research work and the publications it provides to the community, and a group of them gifted her, and Dr. Ali also visited the pavilion Bin Tamim, President of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language of the Culture and Tourism Authority in Abu Dhabi, Bilal Al Budoor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Culture and Science Symposium in Dubai, Ali Saif Al Nuaimi, Director General of United Printing and Publishing of Abu Dhabi Media, the Saudi journalist writer Suleiman Al Hatlan, and a number of teachers and students of Abu Dhabi schools The secondary school, where the supervisors of the pavilion gave them a brief overview of the nature of “Trends” work, its publications and the issues it addresses as an independent research center concerned with comprehensive knowledge and culture. They also briefed the visitors on a number of publications, especially the “Muslim Brotherhood” encyclopedia, from which seven books have been published so far and have been translated into regarding 15 languages. In conjunction with the start of the Abu Dhabi Book Fair, the “Trends” Center launched an opinion poll on reading, through which it monitors the extent to which the UAE community is interested in reading, and the role of book fairs in this field.

Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of the Center, praised the efforts of the organizers of the Abu Dhabi Book Fair, and said that what he witnessed of the wonderful organization indicates the keenness of the exhibition organizers to spread knowledge and facilitate its access to various segments of the global community and the public. He said that the exhibition, with its global cultural value, has become a popular destination for intellectuals, publishers and writers. It has also become a forum that consolidates the culture of book acquisition, raises awareness and passion for reading and its importance.
Dr. Al-Ali stressed that the pavilion of the Trends Center for Research and Consultation this year is witnessing a qualitative leap, in terms of the level of publications as well as the accompanying events, size and design, and said that the exhibition constitutes a station and an important opportunity to introduce the center’s publications and the nature of its research work, noting that «Trends» will organize several events on The margin of his participation in the exhibition, which includes a dialogue session entitled “Possible Solutions to Confronting Hate”, the signing of an agreement with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the announcement of joint initiatives between the UAE University and “Trends”, and a symposium on Gulf-German cultural relations. He added that the exhibition will witness the launch of a tripartite alliance comprising the “Trends Center”, “Al-Ittihad” newspaper and “Distribution” aimed at serving research and cultural issues. The activities also included a lecture entitled: “Scientific Research and its Importance in the 21st Century”, and a panel discussion entitled: “Enriching Students in the Field of Scientific Research”, in addition to signing a cooperation agreement with the UAE Student Union, and the events will culminate in a research retreat on “The Role of Religions in Promoting World Peace” ».
