They had a bus that they used to transport drugs and illegal migrants.

Less than a week following the arrest of “La China” in Arica, Chile, the PDI announced a new blow to the criminal organization Tren de Aragua.

Now, they managed to arrest 11 subjects, 8 of them Venezuelans, 2 Dominicans and one Chilean.

The 11 are members of the criminal organization Tren de Aragua, who were arrested following various operations carried out by the PDI in the Coquimbo and Metropolitan regions.

Specifically, 8 of the 11 detainees were apprehended following a dozen raids carried out in the Metropolitan region.

Regarding the three remaining subjects, the PDI reported their arrest following a police control carried out in the commune of Coquimbo.

Along with the above, the PDI reported the seizure of more than 170 kilos of drugs and cash.

“It is an investigation that has been working for a long time between the PDI and the Public Ministry of Tarapacá,” they said from the PDI.

“It is a highly complex investigation since they are trying to dismantle cells that belong to the transnational group Tren de Aragua,” he added.

The criminal organization had managed to acquire two interprovincial buses to transport irregular migrants to the central zone of the country.

Also to occupy them as a “screen” and thus enter indeterminate quantities of drugs and distribute them throughout different areas of the country.
