According to a telephone conversation between the president and Commander Ojeda, a wall fell on the victim in a shopping center.

EARTHQUAKE IN MEXICO
An earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale (preliminary) shook the center of Mexico just an hour following their national drill to commemorate two powerful earthquakes that left thousands dead in 1985 and 2017. Thus, the authorities reported it.
The National Seismological detailed on Twitter that the epicenter was located 59 km south of Coalcoman, in the state of Michoacán, on the Pacific coast.

A day like today, 5 years ago, an earthquake of magnitude 7.1 claimed the lives of 369 people in Mexico. The most affected places were the states of Mexico, Morelos, Puebla, Guerrero, Oaxaca and Chiapas. In the capital, 228 people died.
The earthquake occurred days following the magnitude 8.2 earthquake with an epicenter in the southern state of Chiapas, which had left 98 dead.
