This Monday, January 16, 2023, Bank Al-Maghrib organized a call for tenders relating to a structural operation for the purchase of Treasury bonds on the secondary market, from banks that are counterparties to monetary policy operations.

This operation recorded a global demand for 1.3 billion dirhams, totally satisfied by Bank Al-Maghrib. The average maturity of Treasury bills purchased by Bank Al-Maghrib stood at nearly 3 months, and the average rate of return was 3.16%, announced a statement from the Central Bank.

At the end of this call for tenders, the overall outstanding balance of structural operations of Bank Al-Maghrib stands at 16.3 billion dirhams.

The next call for tenders will be organized on Monday, January 23, 2023.
