Judge Amjad Ali Shah of Rawalpindi’s Special Anti-Terrorism Court heard the May 9 tragedy cases, Sheikh Rasheed, Shireen Mazari, Amjad Niazi and Usman Dar appeared in the court while arrest warrants were issued for 31 accused who were absent.
During the hearing, while deciding to try the GHQ attack case first, copies of the challan were distributed to the named accused in the case.
Apart from this, copies were distributed to other accused including Kanwal Shozab and Sadaqat Abbasi, while copies were distributed to Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi by the lawyer.

The court allowed the accused to go after their appearance, the hearing of the GHQ attack case was adjourned to October 19, while the hearing of the other 13 cases was adjourned to November 4.
On the other hand, in the cases of September 28 and October 4 protests, the nominated PTI workers and leaders did not appear, applications for absence were filed due to their illness.
Later, the Special Anti-Terrorism Court of Rawalpindi remarked that the next hearing of the case will be held on October 19 in the Adiala Jail Court and the accused will be charged in the GHQ attack case.
Bail granted to 9 PTI women workers after arrest
On the other hand, the Anti-Terrorism Court granted bail to 9 PTI women workers after their arrest in the D Chowk protest case.
Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain heard PTI’s bail application, PTI lawyers Babar Awan, Sardar Ghazim and Amina Ali appeared.
After hearing the arguments, the court approved the bail of the arrested women after their arrest.
It should be noted that a case of protest and vandalism has been registered against the accused in Kohsar police station.
