Traveling to the United States will cost more

Many people planning their next trip have noticed that US destinations are more expensive due to inflation.

Ticket prices for US carriers jumped 43%.

Several products and services have also experienced with an increase.

In addition, the Canadian dollar stands at 0.73 US cents.

“People find it sad because, well, they want to travel to Florida and the places they like to go,” says Nathalie Godin of Voyage Vasco in Laval.

The impact is already being felt in travel agencies.

“People are going to ignore trips to Florida or the United States. Rather, they will take their trips elsewhere,” she said.

A 7-day trip to Walt Disney for a family of two adults and two children will set you back nearly $10,000. In 2021, that same trip cost $8,500, excluding food. That’s an 18% increase.

Other popular destinations include Cuba, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
