Be careful when traveling to Southeast Asia! The global anti-fraud organization “GASO” today (11th) publicly rescued a man who traveled to Thailand, but was taken to a fraud zone in Myanmar’s Kokang Old Street following drinking “Meng Po Soup” in a bar in Chiang Mai. The person involved also revealed that he “wanted to escape from the beginning to the end”, and his experience of being paralyzed following falling from the 7th floor in order to escape.

The man in his 30s traveled alone from Kaohsiung to Chiang Mai, Thailand in April, but he passed out on the spot following drinking a cup of “Meng Po soup” following relaxing in a bar. He said that following leaving the bar, his memory was very vague, and he didn’t wake up until he was in the car, but he also found that he was taken to Myanmar, and there were “two armed soldiers beside him”, so he had to pretend to cooperate. Entering the park, you must work hard every day, otherwise you will be beaten and electrocuted.

One day, while the supervisors were away, the man and 15 other people tied the sheets into an escape rope, cut through the bars and planned to leave from the 7th floor. Because “I want to go most”, he became the first brave man to try. Unexpectedly, he just climbed When I went out, I saw the supervisor’s car coming back. Although he wanted to hide behind the air conditioner first, “he was already in the hospital when he woke up.”

He said that he was suspected of accidentally falling from a building but was sent to the hospital by a scam group. When the doctor told him that his calf and tailbone were broken, he thought why he should not die. Fortunately, he had cash on his body before he fell. They were not taken away when they were discovered and treated, so they were able to bribe the hospital for security and successfully called their family members in Taiwan for help.

Simon, the marketing director of GASO, pointed out that the man was not brought back to engage in fraud following contacting the Taiwanese businessmen in Myanmar for assistance, and the medical expenses and ransom were also borne by the Taiwanese businessmen. Finally, he was sent back to Taiwan at the beginning of this month for follow-up treatment. GASO also reminded that there have been 3 cases in Taiwan this year, and fortunately all of them were successfully rescued.
