Opinion poll

Do you like Trauffer’s music?

“I was afraid that fans would move away”

Nau.ch: At the beginning of the documentary you are in a hole. What got you out of this low?

Trauffer: Carrying on gradually pulled me out of the low. The longer my band and I worked on the new album «Glöggelä», the more joy and energy came back. In the spirit of “time heals all wounds”.

Nau.ch: Were you afraid of a flop?

Trauffer: I was afraid that Trauffer fans could have distanced themselves from me and my music in these five years. The fans eventually grow older and their lives move on. You never know what awaits you on the next tour.

“Suddenly you’re away from the window”

Nau.ch: So why did you decide to continue with the music?

Trauffer: I had already recorded the music for the new album before the two Letzigrund concerts. So at the time of my low, it was already clear that a tour was imminent and there was no turning back. And that’s how the anticipation came.

Trauffer: That’s right. It’s probably because music is less predictable than other business areas. Music is very dependent on the zeitgeist and can therefore change very quickly. Suddenly you are away from the window.

Trauffer is very private

Nau.ch: In the documentary you are also filmed in private moments. How was it for you?

Trauffer: At first it was a bit unusual. When it comes to music, it’s normal for me that there are cameras. Not in private life. So it took some getting used to. But at the end of the day, it’s part of shooting a documentary.

Nau.ch: Is there a private page of yours that only your loved ones get to see?

Trauffer: Of course, and that’s a good thing.

“Can’t say how it goes on”

Nau.ch: You’re on tour until the summer. What’s next for you after that?

Trauffer: I can’t say at the moment how the music will continue. But I will definitely devote more time to my wooden toy factory again.

Nau.ch: When was the last time you went on vacation?

Trauffer: In February I allowed myself a short break. The next holidays will probably be a long time coming.

The documentary “Trauffer – between crisis and triumph” will be published on Wednesday, April 26, on the “oneplus” streaming service.
