Islamabad: Eight people, including six children, were trapped in a cable car at a height of 1150 feet in Pakistan. The operation of a cable car over a river in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province stopped midway.
Children boarded the cable car to go to school. The incident happened on Tuesday at 8 am. Pakistan Guards Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar ordered to rescue those trapped in the helicopter. However, the helicopter arrived but returned without being able to do anything. The trapped people are yet to be rescued.
Such cable cars are widely used for traveling in hilly areas of Pakistan. Gulfraz, who was trapped in the cable car, told the Pakistani television channel Geo News over the phone that he should save us for the sake of God.
It’s been more than five hours since I got stuck in the cable car. The situation is very bad. One fell unconscious. Gulfras also says that a helicopter came but went back without doing anything special. Hamad Haider, a senior official in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said that it was not possible to carry out rescue operations without the help of helicopters.
