Transgender Visibility March in Mexico City: Police Attack Protesters with Gas

Protesters from the trans community, who were carrying out a march for the International Day of Transgender Visibility from the Senate to the capital’s Zócalo, reported that they were dispersed and attacked with gas by police officers stationed in front of the Government Palace.

Among the people who participated in the rally was the Morena deputy, María Clemente García Moreno.

Through his X account, he reported that “Today I accompanied my colleagues to the For the 31M International Day of Trans Visibility, in the palace they received us with blows and gas, the 4T is forgetting the maxim that FOR THE GOOD OF ALL, THE POOR FIRST.”

In addition to this, she accompanied her publication with a video in which she reported on the dispersion of those who attended the march by security elements with the use of gas, according to the Morenista.

“Hello. I’m here in the Zócalo with my fellow marchers. We’ve just been attacked by the police and they’re spraying us with gas, as you can see,” he said as a cloud of light brown smoke rose behind him. Yeah.

“The trans population does not deserve this, the 4T betrays the people of Mexico!” he condemned.

Likewise, users of the social network also showed the different attacks they suffered.

In some shared footage, you can see the contingent moving away from the gas clouds, while shouting slogans such as: “It is not illegal for trans people” and “The police do not take care of me, my friends take care of me.”
