Asuncion, IP Agency.- The contractor in charge of the execution of Lot 1 of the construction works of Route PY 21 Puerto Indio – Empalme Supercarretera develops training and controls that promote the occupational health and safety of workers.
In this context, in compliance with the guidelines of the Social and Environmental Action Plan (PASA), of the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), a random breathalyzer check was carried out on drivers and machinery operators, before the start of the workday, as part of the risk control measures.
These tests are carried out in the construction area by trained and authorized personnel, and to do so, specialized equipment is used to measure the concentration of alcohol in the worker’s blood. In this case, equipment is used to measure the alcohol in exhaled air.
The controls are carried out within the framework of zero alcohol tolerance, they are carried out with the consent of the workers and are included in the preventive occupational health policy, so that they can carry out their tasks safely for everyone.
