The business jet provider wants to give its entire fleet a uniform look. The model is the interior of the Global 7500.
Thomas Flohr is a man who does not make a mess. The founder of the business jet provider Vistajet has already ordered 142 Bombardier long-haul aircraft with a total value of 7.8 billion dollars. Or he is considering buying a Spanish ghost airport worth 100 million euros. Now there is a new project: Giving the entire fleet a uniform look.
In recent years, the Vistajet fleet has continued to grow through the acquisition of smaller providers. Last year, it took over the charter companies Jetedge in the USA and Air Hamburg in Europe, increasing its fleet to a total of 360 aircraft, including 18 Bombardier Global 7500s.
Global 7500 serves as a template
The machine is the flagship of the Vistajet fleet. The jet impresses above all with its range of 14,260 kilometers. Up to 19 passengers can travel in the ultra-long-haul jet. But Vistajet is also proud of the modern cabin interior. Dark woods and carpets form a stark contrast to the light-colored armchairs and paneling.
“This plane is so beautiful, which is why we want every other plane to look like it,” Matteo Atti, Vistajet’s head of marketing, told the portal Robb Report. The Global 7500 serves as a template for the fleet transformation. “We wanted to get away from the atmosphere of a conference center,” Atti continues. Therefore, the machines replace wood, leather and carpets with higher quality, and with a neutral color palette.
Big jets first
The company wants to change the look of around 100 machines over the next two years. According to the plan, the large business jets will be equipped with the new cabin first. The Bombardier Challenger 605 and the Gulfstream G450 will start. The small jets will then be modernized.
Not only the cabin will be standardized, but also the painting of the machine. Around 200 aircraft in the typical red and silver livery are now on the move.
