Bad habits can quickly settle in a couple and make life difficult, and this also concerns food… This was discovered by Mark and Sarah Smith, a couple from Manchester who testified to the Manchester Evening News. Like many, these city dwellers have become accustomed to order food on specific apps for dinner, only rather than being an occasional practice, orders soon became daily. And while waiting for their meal deliveries, the couple had taken to opening one, two or even three bottles of wine.
This diet and regular alcohol consumption ended up causing a big scare to Mark, 39. The latter explains: I was really out of shape, and two years ago I had a vascular problem, the blood had trouble circulating all over the left side of my body and my eye started to sag. . Following this, Mark changed his diet but soon fell back into junk food… Until his wife, Sarah, 44, took matters into her own hands and signed them up to a famous gym in Manchester.
Food delivery gave way to gym workouts
Thanks to their regular exercise sessions, the couple not only got back in shape but discovered that it might well have saved their marriage. “We were both getting fat and we were unhappy. We argued a lot, we didn’t move much,” explained Mark. And Sarah adds: It was a combination of many things. I hadn’t mourned my father, I was worried regarding Mark’s health and we were both miserable and grumpy” . If meal delivery apps are very practical, they can quickly become a trap. ” If you had seen my Deliveroo account at the time, you would have been shocked” Mark admits. What to encourage take care of yourself, whether physically or mentally.
