From Pau to Clermont via Montpellier, it’s a funny game of musical chairs that is being played between Senegalese goalkeepers. While Bingourou Kamara (MHSC) will join Pau FC, Massemba Ndiaye will join Clermont Foot, to become the double of Mory Diaw, and therefore take the place of Franco-Senegalese Ouparine Djoco.
International U23, the Palois must deploy its 2.02 m in the coming days on the Auvergne side. Substitute at the start of the season in Ligue 2, he had earned his place in the team coached by Didier Tholot and only wanted to return to Béarn as number 1. A horizon troubled by the upcoming arrival of Kamara.

On the other hand, the opportunity to discover Ligue 1 as a second goalkeeper seduced the 21-year-old Senegalese. Especially since the future of Ouparine Djoco, despite still two years of contract at CF63, seems blocked following an almost white season in the shadow of Mory Diaw. Clermont Foot would thus change two of its three goalkeepers, Théo Borne having joined the L1 club in early June to replace Lucas Margueron, at the end of the contract.
Massemba Ndiaye, too, still has two years of contract in Pau. But the profile of the player, very promising despite still limited experience at the highest level, should not prevent Clermont from taking action. Neither does the cost of the operation, Ndiaye only showing eight Ligue 2 games and three Coupe de France games this season, following a first Pau season spent in R1.
For Ouparine Djoco, the door seems more open than ever. After blowing hot and cold during Clermont’s first season in Ligue 1, he spent last year on the bench (one Coupe de France match and one in Ligue 1). His desire to find playing time clearly goes through a departure, Mory Diaw having quickly cut short any idea of leaving.
