The Moroccan star was one of Al Ittihad’s targets last summer
Al-Jazira of the United Arab Emirates officially announced today, Friday, the departure of its Moroccan wing, Ashraf Bencharki, from its ranks, following only one season he spent in the club, following joining him in a free transfer following the end of his contract with Zamalek.
The player who previously wore the Al-Hilal shirt in the Saudi League is considered one of the most important goals of Zamalek this summer, but the financial details still prevent reaching an agreement between the two parties.
The Qatari Cup channels indicated that Zamalek is not the only one in the race to include the top scorer wing, but also the Saudi Al-Wehda Club, and added that the two clubs entered into negotiations with the player.
The 28-year-old was one of the goals of Al-Ittihad club last summer, following the end of his contract with Zamalek, but the player chose Al-Jazira in the end, and Al-Ameed went to sign Helder Costa on loan.
Bencharki, who had a dazzling experience with Zamalek and contributed to winning the Egyptian League and the African Confederation Cup titles, did not enjoy the same success in his Emirati experience, as he played 33 matches, during which he scored only 9 goals and made one.
