Transfer: Jackson Muleka officially joins Besiktas

Jackson Muleka signed for Besiktas this Thursday, July 7, 2022 a 5-year contract. He thus left Standard de Liège two years following his arrival. The two clubs (Turkish and Belgian) officially announced the news on their respective sites.

It’s now official! Jackson Muleka will wear the colors of Besiktas from next season. With the formalization of the transfer, the striker’s saga for this transfer window thus has a happy ending. The former TP Mazembe prodigy leaves Standard de Liège and signs a contract with the Turkish club for 5 seasons. To enlist the Congolese, Besiktas had to face several competitors. For a long time, it was even announced in England on the side of Burnley.

“Beşiktaş Futbol A.Ş. reported to the public disclosure platform that the transfer process for professional football player Jackson Muleka Kyanvubu has been completed,” the club announced on its website.

For its part, Standard de Liège has announced the signing of its now ex-attacker. The club also bid farewell to the player. “Standard de Liège, Besiktas and Jackson MULEKA have reached an agreement: the Congolese striker has just signed with the Istanbul club. Our club thanks Jackson for everything he brought to Standard de Liège (54 matches / 15 goals / 4 assists) and wishes him the best for the rest of his professional career. Besiktas will pay 3.35 million to the Liège club for Jackson Muleka, who signed a five-year contract.

The 22-year-old discovered the Turkish league during the second half of the season on loan at Kasimpasa. He dazzled all of Turkey and beyond by scoring 12 goals in 14 games.
