In November, Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody of the Seas will sail from Barcelona back to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The transatlantic voyages are usually position cruises, which are usually sold cheaply. Here the prices were lowered early on, which offers a good opportunity as a world trip module or as the start of a Florida/USA tour.
You can get the inside cabin for €600 per person. The outside cabin is also very interesting at €719. Solo travelers have to pay significantly more at €1,025. The flight package from E-Hoi is also interesting for an additional charge of €518. However, transfers are not included here.
Royal Caribbean tips are $16 per person per night. The amount will be automatically credited to the onboard account. If you do not want this, you can adjust the amount or cancel. You are also free to tip crew members directly.

Die Rhapsody of the Seas
Rhapsody of the Seas was completed in 1997 at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard and was last renovated in 2019. With a length of 279 meters and a width of 32 meters, this ship comes with the Vision Class maximum of 22 knots. As a medium-sized ship, it offers space for around 2,000 passengers and 750 crew members.
The ship has the buffet restaurant Windjammer as well as a 24 hour Park Cafe. In the evening you can dine in the main restaurant. If you don’t like the good food from Royal Caribbean in the included area, there is also a steakhouse, a Japanese and an Italian specialty restaurant for a surcharge.
When it comes to leisure activities, you have the choice between 9 bars & lounges, a pool deck with two pools and 3 large whirlpools, an outdoor jogging course, a climbing wall and the fitness center. Those looking to shed some cash can explore the spa, casino, nightclub or shopping street. In the evening there is all sorts of entertainment programs with acrobats, musicians or comedians. The language on board is English, the currency is US dollars.

The return journey takes much longer and costs accordingly. Prices at Fort Lauderdale (FLL) are around €500-600. It is cheaper to fly out of the nearby Miami Airport (MIA). Here you only pay 263€ (plus luggage) with a stopover in Lisbon.
