A few days ago, the process of training of election staff, which was suspended after the decision of the Lahore High Court, has resumed. .

On the request of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, the Lahore High Court declared null and void the notification of the Election Commission for the recruitment of ROs and DROs in the elections, after which the process of training the election staff across the country was stopped and the general elections were held. Rumors of further postponement had begun.

Two days ago, the Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja met the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faiz Isa in the Supreme Court during which he gave a briefing regarding the situation arising after the decision of the Lahore High Court and the preparations for the election.

After the meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner, the Supreme Court immediately took notice of the matter and suspended the decision of the Lahore High Court and ordered the Election Commission to release the schedule for the February 8 elections. General election schedule released.

Now the Election Commission says that the training of DROs and ROs has been resumed across the country, the training of DROs and ROs will be completed on December 19.

According to the Election Commission, 859 returning officers and 144 district returning officers are being trained. Senior officers of the Election Commission are training the election staff.
