Training of 10,000 volunteers from university students in the field of reproductive health

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Health, said that the government pays great attention to the population increase file. Because population growth exceeds economic growth, and therefore the development in work on the performance of services will not be the same.

This came during the plenary session of the Senate, today, Monday, headed by Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek, which discusses the report of the joint committee from the Health and Population Committee and the Office of the Human Rights and Social Solidarity Committee, on the population increase.

Abdel Ghaffar added that there are more than 5,400 health units inside Egypt, providing services in the field of health, reproductive services, birth control, and all means related to this matter. There are also 582 mobile clinics working in this matter, and there are 3538 fixed units working in this field. and prenuptial services.

He pointed out that in the field of literacy, adult education and reproductive health, many Egyptian university students and graduates have been trained, and 10,000 university student volunteers have been trained in the field of reproductive health, and there is cooperation and coordination with all clerics, whether through Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Ministry of Endowments and the Church. In this context, many seminars and workshops were held, and more than 12,000 male and female students were sensitized through programs prepared for this purpose.

He pointed out that there is cooperation and coordination between all ministries, and the government is working through an integrated system in this matter, praising the study prepared by the Senate for this matter, and that it will be in the heart, mind and thought of the political leadership and the government.
