Training in OHADA Law 2023: Overview of Simplified Recovery Procedures and Enforcement Channels

Training in OHADA law from November 16 to 17, 2023 in Yamoussoukro (Ivory Coast)

On October 17, 2023, the Council of Ministers of OHADA, during its 56th session held in Kinshasa (DRC), adopted a new Uniform Act organizing simplified recovery procedures and enforcement channels, to replace that of April 10, 1998 still applicable. This new Uniform Act which will come into force within 90 days following its publication by the Permanent Secretary in the Official Journal of OHADA, includes major innovations that the Regional Chamber of Justice Commissioners at the Court of Appeal of Abidjan looks forward to sharing with all the justice commissioners and many other professionals.

It is with this in mind that the said Regional Chamber, represented by Maître KOUADIO KOUASSI BECKET, Commissioner of Justice of the said jurisdiction, is organizing with the assistance of the National Chamber of Justice Commissioners of Cote d’Ivoire from November 16 to 17, 2023 in the premises of the INFJ branch in Yamoussoukro, training on the themes:

The Uniform Act of October 17, 2023 organizing simplified recovery procedures and enforcement powers: OVERVIEW of modifications Implementation of simplified recovery procedures resulting from the Uniform Act of October 17, 2023 Diplomatic privileges and immunities or even state in the context of delivery of documents and execution procedures

I – Public cible

The training is mainly aimed at:

To court commissioners and bailiffs depending on the country To lawyers To notaries To corporate lawyers To legal executives of banks To those responsible for recovery issues

II – Training facilitation

The training will be led by:

Maître Jérémie WAMBO, Lawyer at the Cameroon Bar, Former Referendum Lawyer at the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration of OHADA, Expert, Consultant and trainer in OHADA law, author of several works on debt recovery issues and means of execution and on procedural issues. A legal framework in service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the name of which will be specified shortly

III – Conditions of participation

100,000 FCFA per participant for Commissioners of Justice 250,000 FCFA per participant for others 600,000 FCFA for three participants registered simultaneously and belonging to the same structure
