‘Train to Europe’ In-beom Hwang, farewell to SNS “Every moment was special”

Hwang In-beom (26), national football team midfielder who is likely to return to Europe, said goodbye to the professional soccer K League 1 FC Seoul club and fans.

Hwang In-beom wrote on his social network service (SNS) on the 24th, “I never imagined wearing a uniform other than Daejeon Hana Citizen in the K League, so every moment I played with the Seoul emblem was so special.”

Hwang In-beom signed a short-term contract with Seoul in April of this year following receiving a temporary free agent status from his team, Rubin Kazan, a Russian professional soccer team, under special rules of the FIFA due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Then, when FIFA extended the special rules for one more year to protect foreign players and coaches playing in Russia, they decided to accompany Seoul.

However, Hwang In-beom, who received a love call from a European club, decided to continue the challenge following much deliberation.

The Seoul club also decided to actively support Hwang In-beom’s overseas transfer at the time of the contract extension.

In-beom Hwang, who left the national team during the East Asian Football Federation (EAFF) E-1 Championship and returned home early, is likely to transfer to Olympiacos, a prestigious Greek club.

Hwang In-beom said, “I didn’t want to prove that the choice I made was right, but I did my best every moment because I wanted to repay the club for signing me even though he was an injured player.” There were too many of these, I know best. So I feel even more sad and sorry. Still, I am infinitely grateful that there are more people who have always supported me.”

He continued, “From the day I signed the contract to the Daegu FC match where I renewed my contract following three months had passed, my life as a player in Seoul will be remembered as just grateful and happy days. I hope that even one more fans will remember the three months I spent with me. I am very grateful for that,” he added.

Hwang In-beom also thanked director Ahn Ik-soo and his Seoul colleagues.

He said, “I will always keep my gratitude in my heart and repay you by showing me how to become a better player. He said, “I ask for more love and support for the team, which is doing its best to show good performances and results to the fans.”
