A little following 6 p.m. this Monday evening, the SNCB announced that following an incident occurred on the tracks, train traffic was stopped and a shuttle bus service was set up from Leuze and Tournai stations.
It was confirmed to us by Frédéric Sacré, spokesperson for Infrabel, that a person was hit by a train traveling to the airport. The victim did not survive his injuries. The events occurred near a disused level crossing crossed by an agricultural road on rue du Maréchal. The railway police descended on the scene.
