This Saturday, November 18, is World Video Game Day, a sector that is on the rise! This is what emerges from the monitoring report carried out by the Employment Training Center dedicated to digital professions, Digitalcity.
In the Brussels region, the sector is emerging and the Region has nearly ten companies specializing in the field of video games. However, the latter is very promising in terms of employment and involves innovative technologies: artificial intelligence, 3D, virtual reality, etc.
Own skills
The synergies between the digital sector and the gaming sector are numerous and can benefit Brussels job seekers. This is why Digitalcity offers Brussels residents the opportunity to acquire skills specific to gaming. 3D motion designer, front-end developer, graphic designer, network administrator… The Pôle Formation Emploi offers around ten training courses for professions linked to the creation, programming or distribution of video games.
“The growth of a sector is very positive in terms of job creation. I am delighted that job seekers attracted by video games can train at Digitalcity. Digital-related professions are evolving rapidly and we must adapt our training offers to allow Brussels residents to take advantage of all the new job opportunities,” explains Bernard Clerfayt (DéFI), Brussels Minister of Digital Transition.
