After several delays,Avatar 2″, the long-awaited sequel to the science fiction saga created by James Cameron, is scheduled to hit theaters in December this year. And months following its premiere, fans are wondering when they will be able to see the first trailer for the film that will resume the adventures of the Na’vi on the planet Pandora. Now, new information indicates that the advance will come from the hand of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, which will be released in theaters on May 6.
According to The Transom, fans will be able to see the trailer for the “Avatar” sequel ahead of screenings of the new Marvel Studios film starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Disney is thus following a strategy similar to the one it already used with Sony Pictures with “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (Spider-Man: No way home), which included the trailer precisely for the sequel to “Doctor Strange”, although in that case as a post-credits scene. Something that, for obvious reasons, will be different in the case of the Avatar trailer, which would be shown, as usual, before the start of “Doctor Strange 2″.

It is also speculated that the trailer for “Avatar 2” might be screened before the screenings of “Thor: Love and Thunder”, the other great premiere of the Marvel factory that will hit theaters in July. In any case, the release of the trailer would imply a certain guarantee that the theatrical release will take place on the scheduled date, on December 16 of this year.
A release date that the president of 20th Century Studios himself, Steve Asbell, recently confirmed: “Yes. Is seriously. It will make people hallucinate. You’re not ready for what Jim is doing.” Undoubtedly, good news for fans, who are impatiently awaiting the sequel to the successful 2009 film, which is today the highest grossing film in history, with more than 2,845 million dollars at the box office.
Although few details are known regarding “Avatar 2”, the film directed by Cameron will bring back Jake and Neytiri, the characters of Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña, whose story will be taken up while both continue to defend the planet Pandora with their family.
The film will also feature the return of the characters played by Sigourney Weaver, Joel David Moore and Giovani Ribisi and also with new signings: Kate Winslet, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, David Thewlis, Michelle Yeoh or Vin Diesel.
