Tragic traffic accident in Lachen SZ: According to the Schwyz cantonal police, there was a collision between a construction site vehicle and two pedestrians on Thursday followingnoon. A 34-year-old woman and a 62-year-old man crossed the street at the Seestrasse / Äussere Haab junction at 1:30 p.m. They were hit by a motor cart. The woman died from her injuries at the scene of the accident.
The man was taken to hospital with unspecified injuries. The 17-year-old driver of the construction site vehicle remained uninjured. The Schwyz cantonal police and the Schwyz cantonal public prosecutor’s office have started investigating the cause of the accident. The air rescue service, the rescue service and the care team were also on duty.
When asked by 20 Minutes, a spokesman for the Schwyz cantonal police said that due to the driver being a minor, the youth public prosecutor’s office was also involved in the case.
