Tragic Terrorist Attack Claims the Life of Former Israeli Soccer Player Lior Assulin

In the midst of the war between Palestinians and Israelis, the Islamist group Hamas carried out an attack once morest Israel last weekend. Hamas militants left Gaza in all directions and raided several locations in Israel. These terrorist attacks have left more than 1,100 dead in the Middle East.

The news of Lior Asulin’s murder was confirmed by two of his former teams, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Bnei Shaknin, who expressed their deep regret over the loss of the former player.

“Great sadness following many hours in which he was declared missing, it is now known that the club’s former player, Lior Assulin, was murdered by terrorists at a party in Ra’im. Hapoel Tel Aviv Football Club bows its head and asks to send reinforcements to the members of Lior’s family in their difficult moment,” Hapoel Tel Aviv published

Assulin had retired from professional football in 2017. Throughout his career, he scored a total of 88 goals in 284 matches and won the Israel Cup with the Bnei Sakhnin team in 2004.

This attack has had repercussions internationally. UEFA has made the decision to suspend all matches scheduled for the coming weeks.
