A plane belonging to an aviation school crashed to the ground this Saturday, May 27, leaving two dead.

The victims, an instructor identified as Dagoberto Valdez and York student Alejandro Romero, were practicing at the “José Tadeo Monagas” airport in Maturín, when a few minutes following taking off, the plane turned off and fell to the ground.

The aircraft was registered with the initials YV:179E, Model C525. Firefighters and security forces arrived at the scene of the incident to put out the flames and initiate investigations into the case, reported journalist Leonett Thomas.

It was learned that York Alejandro was a native of Puerto La Cruz, Anzoátegui state.
