Manama: The death of close friends after the Onam celebration brought tears to the exile land. The Onam celebration usually starts on the Friday after the Onam holiday ends.
Most of the expatriate families come back in early September after the school holidays and Onam in the country. No one has escaped the shock of the death of five young people on the very first day of such celebrations. Most of the people came to know about the accident that happened at night. All five were active in the Onam celebrations organized for the hospital staff.
As part of the Onam celebrations, the four Malayali youths actively participated in the planting of fig trees in the morning. After placing different figs in Chandrayaan pattern and taking photos with friends, the five went to the dinner at the hotel in the evening. The four Malayalis also took a photo in a frame during the celebration.
After sharing this in the groups, the five returned to their residence at ten o’clock. All the five lived near the hospital in Muharraq.
