Vermont police say Treat Williams was alive when he was airlifted to hospital following his motorcycle accident.

The star ofEverwood died Monday (12 June 23), at the age of 71 at Albany Medical Center in New York following being airlifted from the scene of her collision with a vehicle in Vermont. During a virtual press conference, Vermont State Police say the actor was riding his motorcycle near Dorset, Vermont around 5 p.m. local time when he collided with a Honda SUV.
“Williams might not avoid a collision and was thrown from his bike. He suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to medical center in Albany, New York, where he was pronounced dead,” police said, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Investigators believe the motorist was turning left to enter a parking lot and did not see the star’s motorcycle approaching. They confirmed that the driver had used his turn signal and that he was not intoxicated at the time of the accident. The driver sustained minor injuries that did not require hospitalization.
Officers also noted that Treat Williams was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. “His motorcycle was going straight and an SUV cut him off in front of him,” the late actor’s agent Barry McPherson said in a statement to multiple media on Monday.
