It must have been a lovely evening. The motorcycle festival in Bruay-La-Buissière, in Pas-de-Calais, began this Sunday evening with a nocturnal ride that stopped at Place Jean-Jaurès in Haillicourt.
But around 8:45 p.m., a tragedy occurred on rue du 1er-Mai, near the haillicourt meeting place, tell our colleagues from The voice of the North. An accident between three motorcycles resulted in the death of a 54-year-old motorcyclist. The man was alone on his machine.
Three other people involved are in absolute emergency. Among them, a 26-year-old young man whose vital prognosis is engaged. When he was in cardiac arrest when help arrived, he was revived by firefighters. He was then evacuated to the CHR of Lille by the SMUR of Béthune.
The other two involved, aged 28, were a couple on the third motorcycle. The woman is the victim of dorsal and cervical trauma, while the man suffers from a fractured femur. They were both transported to Béthune-Beuvry hospital by the SMUR of Lens and the firefighters of Lillers.
Because of this tragic accident, the municipality of Bruay-La-Buissière decided to cancel the festivities scheduled for Monday.
