María Lucrecia Arias was 51 years old. On Thursday night, a group of thieves tried to steal her car when she was arriving at her house with her daughter in the town of Castelar, Morón district, and one of them shot her and killed her almost instantly. .

The news of her death generated an immediate response from Arcos Dorados, which expressed its solidarity with Lucrecia’s family and shared its deep pain in a statement: “At Arcos Dorados we stand in solidarity with Lucrecia’s family and express our deep pain for the death of our companion. “We are accompanying her close circle, her family and colleagues, in these difficult times.”
María Lucrecia Arias graduated with a degree in Business Administration, and joined McDonald’s at a very young age. Her first position was that of “crew”, the term that designates the employees who serve the premises.

The dramatic episode occurred on Thursday around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of San Nicolás and Salcedo streets, Morón district, when María Lucrecia Arias arrived home with her 17-year-old daughter. She was surprised by four armed criminals in a black car, who wanted to steal her Suran truck.
According to initial information, the victim took a while to remove his seat belt and the criminals shot him without saying a word. A bullet pierced his chest and he died instantly. The thieves fled.
