A taxi driver became a defendant in a criminal case following the death of a passenger who refused an ordered car in Murino. According to the investigation, it was not him who struck the first blow.
The case was initiated under an article on intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, which through negligence caused the death of a person, the Leningrad Region Prosecutor’s Office reported on July 24.
Fontanka wrote that a 42-year-old Petersburger had died. The supervisory authority clarified that at ten o’clock in the evening on Sunday he was waiting for Yandex.Taxi to leave for St. Petersburg. According to preliminary data, he was drunk and did not find a common language with the driver as soon as he got into the car.
“The victim refused to follow in this car and got out of it. After that, the driver got out of the car, a verbal skirmish continued between them, as a result of which the victim hit the taxi driver, ”the prosecutor’s office said.
He did not survive the retaliation.
A 23-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan was detained, the investigation intends to ask for guards for him.
