At approximately 3:10 pm on the 22nd, a married couple, a man in his late 50s and a woman in her early 60s, were found dead in a tent near Daeya Reservoir in Saengyong-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju.
After receiving a report of a gas smell coming from their tent, fire officials arrived, but the couple was already dead.
It is known that a heating device connected to LPG was operating in the tent at the time.
Police estimate that the fishing couple died from carbon monoxide poisoning while using a heater in the tent, and are planning to conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
