Tragic Incident: Child Drowns in Above-Ground Swimming Pool in Loretteville; Quebec City Police Investigate

The police were called to intervene around 9:30 p.m. in the backyard of a residence on Albert-Trudel Street in Loretteville for a child who had fallen into an above-ground swimming pool.

Resuscitation maneuvers were attempted on the toddler, who was transported to a hospital center under police escort.

His death was unfortunately pronounced at the hospital.

It is not known how long the child spent under water and in what context he would have escaped the supervision of his parents.

Investigators from the Quebec City Police Department went to the scene to try to shed light on the events.
