The celebration of the 25 years of the Vistex company turned into tragedy with the death of the CEO and the serious injuries of its vice-president.

Sanjay Shah, CEO of the Vistex company, died when he crashed on the stage where he was celebrating the 25th anniversary of his company. It was a cable from a basket that gave way, causing the CEO and his vice-president to fall more than 4 meters.

Despite immediate treatment, CEO Sanjay Shah died on the spot. His vice-president Vishwanath Raju Datla was in critical condition.

Indian authorities have opened an investigation to determine responsibility for this accident.

According to the NY Post, Sanjay Shah was also a philanthropist. His Vistex Foundation provided grants to nonprofit organizations focused on health, education, and basic needs programs. In 2020, he had opened Vistex Hospital in Bihar, India, which was recognized as a national model facility for the fight once morest Covid-19.
