New York: 19-year-old bride dies in house fire in Wisconsin, US Paige Rudy’s daughter tragically died on her wedding day. A fire broke out on the second floor of a Reedsburg home around 4 a.m. on May 23. Rudy was sleeping in the room at this time. He suffered a fatal brain hemorrhage from smoke inhalation and died the next day in hospital. She was married to groom Logan Mitchell Carter on Monday. The wedding party was also planned for the next day.
But the accident happened on Tuesday morning. Local fire chief Craig Douglas said Rudy was unable to escape due to heavy smoke. The house where the couple lived belonged to the groom’s grandparents. There were no smoke detectors in the house. Authorities have confirmed that a preliminary investigation has revealed Ms Rudy’s cause of death was smoke inhalation. Although the cause of the fire is being investigated, the police concluded that there is nothing suspicious.
Three people were in the house at the time of the fire. Firefighters reached the spot around 4 am. Rudy graduated from Reedsburg Area High School in June 2022. Rudy’s family also said he planned to enroll in a vet tech program at Madison Area Technical College.
