Three people were killed in separate fires throughout West Virginia on Monday, state officials said.

The woman’s body was transported to the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of the fire has been ruled undetermined due to damage in the blaze.

In Pendleton County, a 61-year-old man was killed in a fire along Grey Goose Drive in the Sugar Grove area that was later determined to be arson, the news release said.

Zachary Edward Mongold, 25, was arrested and charged with arson and first-degree murder in the incident following investigators said the blaze appeared to have been started by an incendiary device.
