Five fire trucks and a large ladder were needed to put out the fire which lasted a little over an hour. Fearing the flames would spread, the two adjoining houses were evacuated. They were ultimately spared from the fire, thanks to the intervention of the firefighters.

Mayor André Bouchat went there with social assistance. They offered to rehouse the husband, the house being completely damaged. He will finally be hosted by his son.

The Luxembourg Public Prosecutor’s Office has been notified of this fire. Checks are underway to determine the causes of the fire.
